Kyrie: A Luxe Calligraphic Serif

Kyrie is a luxe, calligraphic upper and lowercase display serif that works beautifully for branding projects and quotes. Best used as a display for headings and logos, Kyrie’s clean lines, smooth curves, and true-to-form calligraphic style give any project a touch of luxury and class.

There are alternates available for K, b, d, g, h, j, k, l, r, s, y, &, and 5 that give each character some extra calligraphic flair (available via the special characters panel; see this article for help accessing them: https://www.macworld.com/article/3052388/how-to-access-advanced-opentype-features-in-a-variety-of-mac-apps.html )

This font is pretty versatile in the sense that it can be used normally, but also looks SO good in all caps. I recommend using the upper- and lower-case letters with the alternates and ligatures to create your logos, and use all uppercase letters for subheadings (see the “Whistle Farms” sample logo above). When creating quotes, I’d probably keep the alternates turned off for easy reading, depending on the length of your quote 🙂 Set a gradient image as a clipping mask in Photoshop on top of your quote text to create a similar look as the sample quote you see above!
